I remember my father's Bulova Ambassador fondly, and when I came across this I couldn't resist. This is my second Bulova wrist watch, and a very elegant time piece, and I have received a few good comments already. The sweeping hand was always a draw card for me, and the leather strap is very comfortable, not as heavy as a metal strap, and not quite as "Bling", which suits me better. The automatic winding works well. I purchased an automatic watch winder (diplomat) with the watch, but in my experience I had to set it to anti-clockwise rotation to keep the charge when it's not on my wrist. The catch.... actually the "deployment clasp" is a nifty way of closing the watch strap, but a little confusing to those not familiar with them. I was on the verge of taking the watch to a jeweler to fit the strap when Prof Google directed me to this link: [...] which explained how to get the strap through the link. This should really be in the "owners manual" that comes with the watch to prevent frustration. Great watch, I'm very pleased with it.
