Note: I was given this book as a thank you for my review of the second book in this series.
Hughey begins this series with a lot of action, romance, and a deep overall plot line that will keep you reading this quickly.
She does a great job at revealing the main character, Jaime, insecurities and showing how she slowly overcomes her own fears. All the while, the author gives clues and plot development to an overall mystery that continues in book two Betrayals.
The overall plot has to do with a group of descendents from German code breakers who discover that all of their grandparents were killed almost at the same time. So far the plot involves ever agency from the FBI, NSA, to the CIA.
I will say if you read Betrayals first (as it was a free for a while on Amazon), you are perfectly ok to read this one and Betrayals out of order (as I did) if needed. The author is quiet talented at writing both books in a chronological order, but to where they can be read out of order if needed. Though reading this one clears up some questions I had in Betrayals.
Overall, a great book, a great series...and I can't wait till book three comes out.
