I have been happy to see that Amazon's Kindle format has given George Reisman a forum for publishing several of his outstanding essays. He is just as at home with political philosophy as he is with economics, and he is not shy about combining the two to create devastatingly cogent arguments against the enemies of freedom.
My personal favorite from this collection is "Education and the Racist Road to Barbarism" which is a devastating critique of multiculturalism, its inherent racism, and its barbarous effects on education and society. Another favorite is "How the One Percent Provides the Standard of Living of the 99 Percent", which is an excellent demonstration of how capitalists and their accumulated capital benefit everyone. I have sent this essay to several people with anti-capitalist viewpoints and I believe it provided a successful starting point for turning a few of them from the dark side.
For a long time I have wanted to write a review of Reisman's magnum opus Capitalism: A Treatise on Economics here on Amazon, but I do not believe I am up to the task of writing one that gives it justice. All that I will say is that I think the book is extremely important, and it has my highest recommendation. For those who are curious about it and first want a sample of George Reisman's writings this e-book is a perfect place to start.
