As an entrepreneur and education professional, i was always looking for innovative ways of doing business. It was important for my company and more important to my students, because our mission was always bring the best business material we can. There were a lot of content on traditional business books, business magazines and internet but yet we were still having trouble finding a uniform and simple logic to explain and understand how business work. So we find the work of Osterwalder and Pigneur in the book Business Model Generation. It changed the game with the approach of Business Models and all the revolutionary visual, simple and uniform methods.
But despite of this there were one important piece missing : the mind of people. Companies and organizations are structured arrangements of people working towards a common goal. Its imperative they understand itselves, their mission, their skills, interests, abilities, goals and how they can contribute to a better company, to a better job, to a better life. With the same visual, logic, easy-to-use approach of Business Models, Tim Clark created a powerful tool to understand all of this. This book is a guide, a person guide that can have a deep impact to carreers, people managers and companies.
Thank you Tim for the wonderful contribution. I'm proud to be one small part of it!
