Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Camera)
Instead of shooting a review, I took some video, outdoors in the dark, in a dim room, and various lighting conditions. I erased the audio portion - it was just wind and ambient noise. The original video is great quality - hopefully Amazon does not compress it too much!
Christmas lights in front of the house, the tree inside the house, and some footage at the local gym (dark, medium and bright conditions!)
I also shot some close-up footage with the close-up setting on and off so you can see how it works.
All videos are recorded by the camera in .mov format.

The exposure in the lighted portion of the weight room looked surprisingly good.

However, most of the restof the video is quite dark...of course, it is in dark settings but I din't get a sense of an adjustmnent. Either way, pretty good. Kept pausing but I think that is an Amazon compression issue.

Thanks for this video! Helps my search for HD video camera that I can use with external mic. I agree with the review: night time shots are good enough.

Thank you for a great demo on this camera. I was totally sold on the Flip 120HD and actually got one, had it for 1/2 hour and it was stolen off of my table... so I was on the search to buy another one, but ran into someone who does semi-pro video stuff on the internet and he said that hands down, this camera was much better than the Flip because of the microphone, lighting etc... so now I can see it for myself.

Yeah thanks for posting the video. Have to say though, that at least based on that footage, it makes me want to look elsewhere. Did the video get compressed a lot by Amazon or is that pretty much what the original looks like?

Thanks for taking the time to do the video and upload it. For the price it helped me to decide to buy this camera. I have one question though. What's your electric bill for December?

i see quite a bit of motion blur, is that a camera issue or a compression issue?

Can you record on 1080p and upload it with an SD card?
