4.0 out of 5 stars Wow!!!, August 16, 2010
This review is from: Warriors: Battles of the Clans (Warriors Field Guide) (Hardcover)
This is a great guide!
There are exclusive never before told stories, such as "Battle of the Foxes" (I think that's what it's called) where Graystripe guides the four Clans into a battle against foxes on their territory while Firestar is away rebuilding SkyClan.
Another one is when Lionheart (then Lionpaw) was too afraid to fight a battle, so he hid in Snakerocks for a long time.

There are also some neat paintings inside the book about scenes from the stories.

In this book, you are a kittypet "guided" by Clan warriors and Clan leaders through each Clan. You are there to learn about historic battles of the Clans, so the cats of the Clans teach you about them, and tell their stories.

The only problem I have is that if you haven't read Fading Echos (the 2nd Omen of the Stars book) some major spoilers are in store for you in this book.
Also, there are a few mistakes such as it saying that Cinderpelt, Sootfur, AND Rainwhisker died in the badger fight in ThunderClan, but Rainwhisker didn't in the series.

Otherwise a great book and an ideal gift!!!

Symon Coy says:
Rainwhisker is in the series and DID die in the badger attack in the camp by the lake! Check your knowledge!

Yes, I know Rainwhisker is in the series. He did NOT die in the badger attack- he was killed by a falling branch afterwards.
