5.0 out of 5 stars Best Monitor since CRT's, January 31, 2013

This review is from: Asus VG248QE 24-inch Full HD Ergonomic Back-lit LED Gaming Monitor (Personal Computers)
Ive been gaming for 13 years now, the first PC i purchased was a Dell back in year 2000 came with a 19inch CRT monitor...later i got a an expensive flat screen monitor and it sucked, could not use to game with, didn't know anything back then about refresh rates or response times, returned to my CRT to game on and have been hesitant to purchase a flat monitor for years...after doing my homework and research I decided to give this Monitor a try , and now I can never go back to a CRT ever again...This Monitor is SO AWESOME 144hz refresh rate and 1 millisecond response time...Its like Night and Day, my gaming experience has vastly improved and the Graphics in game are mesmerizing when using this monitor. IF YOU ARE A GAMER, YOU NEED THIS MONITOR. no if ands and butts.

How many fps do you usually get in your games? I'm thinking about getting a new monitor, almost did the VS247h but then started reading about 120hz+ monitors, almost went for the Benq but this is $100 cheaper. Hoping one 7950 will be sufficient for this.

If you got a 7950 and you game on a regular monitor that's like driving a lamborguini in the city, a 120+ hz with at least 2millisecond response time, will be like taking that 7950 on the autobon... I'm averaging 65-70 + fps on Ultra settings, I almost went for the benq also but after researching it found it's more of a fad monitor like the Apple iPhone, expensive and every one's got one... I prefer Android btw

Cool man, I'm going to get it. Did you change the default picture settings? I prefer WP8 :)

Are you able to get a measurement of how tall it is on the stand but at its lowest height, from base to top of the monitor.

Have you tried the LightBoost tweak for eliminating more motion blur? Google "LightBoost" for more info.
