A Clear and Uncompromising Orthodox Author,
This review is from: Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future (Paperback)
I read this book about 10 years ago, and was quite amazed at how well it fit with my own understanding of where things are going historically. I actually strongly considered converting to "Orthodoxy" due to this author, but sadly found out that he turned out to be a misfit, mostly disowned by his own church.
I really was surprised at the claims that by some reviewers that he was anti-semitic? I certainly did not catch that, and I attend a JEWISH Messianic Congregation, so I tend to be rather sensitive to such evidence.
I really suggest that others read the 1 star reviews, to see how UNorthodox the reviewers were, in spite of their claims to be otherwise. Such alleged Orthodox people buy into current pagan beliefs that NO true Orthodox historically would have believed! For example, show me ONE non-heretical Orthodox priest that completely tolerated and accepted other pagan religions! People claiming that are hypocritical in saying that Father Seraphim Rose's opinions match "protestants" better, when such reviewers views PERFECTLY match most of the Bible-hating Liberal Protestants.
Thank GOD for brave and wonderful people such as Seraphim Rose, and their writings! It was believers like him that give ANY credibility to Eastern Orthodoxy today, period!

I agree. I am a Byzantine Catholic, meaning I have the same beliefs but am under the authority of the Pope. The holiest person I know is a Orthodox monk. His monastery reads Fr. Seraphim Rose's works.
