This review is from: Skylanders Giants: Thumpback Giant Character (Accessory)
Pro tip for anyone hunting down the latest Skylanders Giant characters. Wait and wait until you find them at retail prices. So far all of the Skylander Giants have been pretty widely available at launch or shortly thereafter. In this case it seems that Gamestop had some sort of exclusive for a couple of weeks and they were released at Toys R Us this morning. They will be on Amazon for 14.99 in the next week or maybe a little longer. You should not pay more than that for any giant. Take a look at all of the rest of the giants now. You can easily pick them up anywhere now. If you really must have them first then do like the people that are selling them on here do. Camp your local Gamestop and buy them up. otherwise just wait a week or two and get 3 Skylanders for what you would waste here. If money isn't an issue, then enjoy your $50 Thumpback.

You are so right! Why does Amazon allow this to keep happening! When my "prime " is up, that's it. NO MORE AMAZON until they get their act together. I feel we all should complain. This went on with every toy during Christmas too! I ended up shopping everywhere else I could. So many of my family & friends also complained. AMAZON, when are you going to listen! If enough people complain, maybe we will get results!

Good for you for posting this. My son is dying for a Thumpback but I'm not going to be ripped off for $50 just to get him one. It's really a shame that people take advantage of others by buying them just to sell for a profit. I'll be waiting to find him at regular retail price along with you!

Really- we should have a free market and allow them to sell them at any price they want. It's the consumers who need to be responsible and blacklist a company for behaving poorly. With the opportunity we have on Amazon to make these comments and tell people they are getting ripped off, it is only the ignorant or greedy who will be coerced into buying these things for such ridiculous prices. You who have posted that these will be sold soon for less are doing your jobs as good citizens to make the public aware. That is what we need most :-)
