This review might be taboo for some folks, but I've just got to say it...I love the way Fantasia sings. I think, handsdown, she is the BEST r&b singer. Singer, people, not hitmaker. Her sound is so unique, so raw, so soulful, nothing like the Beyonce knockoffs I hear on the radio. But. The songs that the producers throw at her doesn't do her justice. SHE does justice to the songs. As far as the album, it has it's shining moments.
Noteworthy: 2 - Bittersweet, absolutely beautiful 4 - Who's Been Loving You 5 - Collard Greens & Cornbread 8 - Trust Him 10 - Falling in Love Tonight 11 - Even Angels
So that's about half of the album, which makes it worth the buy. The rest of the songs are skippable, most of them on sped up beats, which for her voice just doesn't suit IMO. Anyway, but still give my girl Tasia a go. It's still a decent album.
