Sia finally unleashes her sixth full length solo album and shows off her emotional vocal delivery and catchy melodies to the rest of the world. Following a fifteen year solo career that culminated in an absolutely killer album called "We Are Born" in 2010, Sia has had a consistent period of professional success writing songs for other artists such as Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, and Beyonce. This album reaches for a more modern pop sound that her clients have been aiming for and succeeds in mixing modern production techniques with her signature heartfelt lyrical sentiments. Long time collaborator Greg Kurstin (Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Tegan & Sara) returns to produce with Sia and the eclectic song styles range from epic ballads to fun rockers and modern electro pop. Highlights include the powerhouse first single "Chandelier", the beautiful cracked vocal of "Eye Of The Needle", the fun party rock sounds of "Hostage" written with Nick Valensi from The Strokes, the brilliant and emotive ballad "Straight For The Knife", the dark brooding sound of "Fair Game", the epic chorus of "Fire Meet Gasoline", and the emotional vocal line of "Cellophane". Whilst she may be a new entity to music fans around the world, Sia is a music veteran who has managed to produce a great pop album full of everything we have come to expect from this Australian artist. With all the promotion she has been doing lately she might even have an international hit record on her hands and be cured of her 1000 forms of fear.
