Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation is a wonderful handheld game. If you like anything Assassin's Creed, and have the Vita... then you probably already have this game. However, if you are like me and aren't a huge fan of AC... then read on.
This game, more than any before it on the Vita, truly shows off the impressive power it holds. Unlike many of the reviewers, I don't think the graphics are astonishing. That's not a knock on the game or the Vita, I just feel it's the truth. The game does NOT have PS3 graphics contrary to what you may read. It's closer to PS2, TBH. That's not a bad thing, but I think it's ridiculous to claim PS3 graphics on a handheld. They are impressive graphics for a handheld, but definitely not PS3 quality. Even more impressive is the "open" world. Like all other AC games, the world isn't a TRUE open world. There are loading sections. Never-the-less, technical wise, AC3:Lib is very impressive.
The game plays similar to Assassin's Creed 3, obviously due to less buttons it can't completely play the same. It's close though. I haven't progressed the story very far, doesn't seem very interesting tbh. I usually just go around killing poor saps, then after I've had my fun.. I may play a mission. It's very fun to explore and slaughter people.
Vita games tend to get bad reviews from critics, I don't know what these people are expecting. It's a handheld! It will not be a full console experience. Take it for what it is! Console quality on the go, and it's marvelous!
Assassinating people on the go has never been funner!
