Out with the Wheat, out with the weight,

This review is from: Wheat Belly by William Davis (30 Minute Health Summary) (Kindle Edition)
The summary of Dr. William Davis's Wheat Belly delivers on two important fronts. First, and most fundamental, it clearly lays out the incredible dietary advantages of avoiding wheat. No big deal? Hardly. For any of us who've tried to understand why wheat in our diet seems to present so many roadblocks to weight loss and improved energy (despite regular exercise and zealotry to whole grains), this is no modest achievement. Davis uses plainspoken prose to explain the science, understandable examples of dietary pratfalls (e.g. I've cut out all the fats in my diet, why do I still see it around my waistline?), and offers it all with surprising humor and humility (Dr. Davis himself struggled with his weight before changing to a wheat free diet). The second virtue is the crisp brevity offered in the summary format. Lets be honest, even when the writing's as readable and compelling as Davis's, sometimes it's difficult to tackle the full-length text. Win, win, baby!
