This review is from: Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Wireless Computer Speakers (Personal Computers)
I had a pair of the Klipsch 2.1 speakers for nearly 10 years before they died so I am a huge fan of these speakers. Even with the rage I am currently typing this review through I will say that the sound of the wireless version is just as impressive. HOWEVER...
The strength of the wireless signal is utterly pathetic. The stated range of 30 feet should have been a clue but, even though I bought these speakers with no intention of trying to listen to them from outside my living room (no more than 15 feet from the sub), I have had nonstop problems with getting and keeping a stable signal. My recliner is literally 10 feet from the sub, which sits in a cabinet at the bottom of my computer desk. The signal skips and dies, even with the cabinet door open. The signal light on the USB blinks and dies, is solid, then dies again. I am so sick and pissed off that I am having trouble finding the words to finish this review.
Long story short, get the wired version. And Klipsch team: couldn't you have done better than this?

Have you talked to them (Klipsch people, of course) about the problem? They can send you another dongle if that is a problem or they can replace the sub if that has problem. Good luck.

Have you tried a usb extension cord to shorten the communication distance?

Daya: I did call Klipsch, they stated that it is most likely a problem with interference from other wireless devices (my tv and receiver are both on my wireless network.) As such, they refused to send me a new dongle. I have tried turning my other wireless devices off and that seems to help sometimes, but overall I am still unhappy with the product and stand by the 2 stars I gave it.
JL: That sort of defeats the purpose of having wireless, but it doesn't matter. The signal is unsteady even with my laptop 2 feet away from the sub.

Same things with mine. Dongle is 3 feet from the sub and the signal keeps going in and out, more out than in. Total POS, will never buy another Klipsch product again

3 feet! I am nearly entirely wireless here, and even my computer switch runs over a wireless bridge to my router.
Holy crap, I believe you and Savian just kept me from making a huge (and expensive) mistake. 3 feet... might as well be wired!
