Radios aren't worth the money. Wanted radios for my two sons to play around with and both of them love Legos. Wasn't expecting much and got even less. One radio's battery connection broke after first swap of the batteries. I wasn't expecting much for range, but you have to be in audible distance for them to work, kind of defeats the purpose. Build quality is poor, the second radio (which my son still would carry around and pretend) didn't last long. The housing ended up cracking.
I ended up buying two yellow lower end Motorola radios for them. The kids love them, they recharge, have incredible range and clarity. When going places with friends, they'll give one to the other car and talk. Then they double as an easy way to stay in touch in large crowded places like an amusement park!
