2.0 out of 5 stars Valentine Mouse - not up to par, March 11, 2010
By
This review is from: Happy Valentine's Day, Mouse! (If You Give...) (Board book)
This book fell short of my expectations. The story is overly simplistic, with barely one sentence per page. Cute if it's your first "Mouse" book, but I think you will be disappointed otherwise.

This is a "board book" (on cardboard pages) and they are usually simplified reading level because they are intended for toddlers and younger children. Sometimes the board book is the original text, as in this case, and sometimes it is a simplified version of a book for older children. This also explains the smaller size, easier for younger children to hold.
