Yes, this is a grey market watch, meaning only that Amazon is not an authorized dealer. It's also a great price on the real deal (and the serial number wasn't removed despite some commentary about this in some of the forums), with all brand new Cartier packaging, etc. You can't beat the price; this was less even than several used Tank Francaises I looked at. If you want to pay full price, go ahead, but this is a great deal on the real thing, with an Amazon two year warranty instead of Cartier. That is the ONLY difference. Also fast shipping. I ordered at 6 PM and it was waiting for me in my office the very next morning when I arrived at 9 AM. That's service!

Did the manufacture's warranty card come with the watch, though that warranty (instead of Amazon's) might not be valid? Thanks.

Do you honestly think that some "watch repairman" at Amazon, is going to have the knowledge and expertise that a Cartier watchman will have? The guy fixing the toaster for Amazon is going to repair your $3000.00 watch? Yeah, I thank my parents for teaching me the difference between those in the know and those that DO know. If I'm going to drop over $3000.00 for a watch, it will be done via an AUTHORIZED DEALER.....period, and with an ironclad warranty that I will spend the time to read, (even the fine print). If it's too good to the be true.....DUH!!
