This is a fabulous book. There are so many things in it to learn, think about, and discuss.
I live in one of the largest cities in the U.S. and don't intend to move from it, so moving to small towns is interesting to read about, but that is not the main message of the book to me. In fact, what is the main message? There are so many.
Yesterday at lunch one thing from the book popped in my mind when a friend was talking about taking friends to New York. I said, "In Rod Dreher's new book about his sister, he wrote about taking his niece Hannah to Paris. Rod's wife advised him against trying to make his Paris Hannah's Paris. Let her find her own Paris." We had a great discussion about that topic yesterday.
That is just one small thing from the book. There are so many others, large and small, that keep coming back to me. I highly recommend this book by a brother who loved his sister enough to change his life because of her.
