I agree with some of you as I loved parts of this final book, but really hated the ending. I cannot put into words the way I felt when I lived with these characters all the way through to only have Jem ruined! At least in my mind. As the reader, I was greiving and two pages later, which was 60-70 years later in the story, it all changed and the wonderful memory and feelings I had for all three was shattered as the author seemed to feel it necessary to try and please EVERYONE while ruining the story, for me..... I've never been so disappointed from a series before. I would have enjoyed this book as much as the others if she would have stopped the story with the last chapter. If someone would have warned me, I would have not read the epilogue. My curiousity would have had me reading eventually, but that way it wouldn't have been as bad.

I could not agree more. The epilogue was awful and unnecessary.

Exactly my thoughts. I loved the ending and really disliked the epilogue.

Im sorry you didnt like the ending. It's awful when a series ending disappoints! I however am going to have to disagree! I really liked the last chapter(cried in fact) but I absolutely LOVED the epilogue! It didnt feel like a cop out but how the story was suppossed to be all along. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around why anyone would not like it but Im sorry you did not!

i totally agree with you.. all 3 main characters r tied together.. all three were able to have a happy ending, what not to love..tessa goot to spend a good 70 years with will.. now she can spend 70 more with jem.. plus now jemms cured hes human and can be with will when he dyes.. its the best ending..i so cryed when jem went to the silent brothers with out finding a cure.. that last chapter shows.. what love really is. and how all 3 were blessed.. sorry u didnt like it.. but i loved it

I agree in parts. I don't agree that it ruined Jem, actually. I think essentially it just made Jem human again...so he was brought down to earth really and given a clean slate. I think what really depressed me was that Will was dead and she was like hey, Will's dead so now Jem's looking good; hence the cop out. I don't like that at all. I would have been happier if she chose one and was done with it while keeping Jem's clean slate ending.

u have too remember will been gone from her life for 70 yrs.. shes been alone.. of course she will always love and miss will. but the point to me life goes on when are love ones r gone.. its not like she jumped on the next guy a week after wills death.. 70 yrs is a long time too be alone.. and her meeting up with jem.. doesnt mean there going to run off and get married..will would want both of them to be happy.all three r tied together.. tho the whole series..and i dont belive its a cop out.... but everyone has there own opinion about the ending . and thats great.. too me it means people loved or hated the characters.. meaning to me the story was well written.. my opinion i loved the end :)

The epilogue is probably the set up for another series.
