Pretty Cheesy for Monster,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Monster Cable SS4 Multi-Speaker Selector (Electronics)
Normally I've been really happy with Monster products. They're usually more expensive than the competitors but better quality too. This speaker selector is an exception. There's not really much to it but the wire connections on the back really suck - especially if you're using 12ga or 14GA wire. I can't get the connections to stay in place if I move the unit at all - really frustrating. I don't know why they didn't design it to use with their own crimp terminals like I have on everything else. If you want my advice, look for something else. I'm returning this item, my first ever return after many years of Amazon shopping.

Robert H Muir says:
Why can't we buy a unit with substantial speaker connectors this unit is a joke compared to the wire they offer. I challenge anyone to put a long run 12 ga(or even a 14 ) into one of those tiny cheap terminals!

Monster recommends you buy their twist crimp toolless connectors to use with this. Not a bad solution - they're a solid core needle tip (not unlike what's at the center of banana plugs) and self crimp to large guage cables.

Requiring another Monster Product to use their Monster product. How Monster of them. btw; that's what I ended up having to do, although with another, less expensive brand. this should be in the product description.
