High quality, soft, nice fit, not transparent, good for yoga and for a night out,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
American Apparel cotton/spandex leggings are some of my favorites. Thick enough where they are not transparent but not too thick. (*Update: I have chosen mostly darker colors: black, brown, charcoal gray, dark blue, red, etc. The lightest colors I've owned are the yellow and light heather gray and they ARE somewhat transparent.) Super soft, comfortable, various colors, they have a nice high waist so they don't slide down when bending over. High quality, and I like that they are made in the U.S. so sweatshop-free and fair wages (despite the fact that Dov Charney, founder of American Apparel seems to be a bit of a pervert). As a serious yoga practitioner who lives in spandex leggings, I love these because I can wear them teaching all day and then put on a nice long flowing top and boots to go out at night. They are practical and don't cost an arm and a leg. Highly recommended.
Update: After roughly 4 years of use, inner thigh seams and groin have developed holes. I've worn my black pairs the most often and the knees have become loose and developed holes. Although I have sewn and repaired the tears several times, once the spandex begins deteriorating, the repairs don't hold up. I am okay with the price and quality of these leggings for ~4 years of use. To hasten the process of deterioration, I'd recommend going with the larger size if you are between sizes. The fabric being under constant stretch will not contribute to a longer-lasting elasticity. Four years of very regular use is a lo. Still recommended.
