Still great after 2 years,

This review is from: Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (1") (Health and Beauty)
I've had this for a little while now and it works great. I used to own a cheap metal flat iron and decided I needed an upgrade. I have very frizzy hair and this one keeps my hair smooth and doesn't make it look dried out. If this one ever does break, I'll gladly by another Solia flat iron.
My original review was written in 2010, after owning this for 2 years. It's now been 5 years and it still works great. I've used it almost every other day. Just make sure you use a heat protection product to protect your hair from heat damage.
A story to show you how resilient this straightener is:
I thought I destroyed it when I took it to another country and didn't realize that my power convertor was broken. The straightener got so hot that the plates started sliding off (the inside plastic was melting from the heat). Luckily I unplugged it in time before it completely melted or burned the place down. As I let it cool down, I tried to make the plates set where they were supposed to be in the rare chance that it still would work. I was sure it was going to be a lost cause. That happened in 2011, 2 years ago. I'm not lying, it still works great in 2013. I will definitely stick with Solia.
