Once a good Name, Now Bad, Do Not Buy This for Canon T1i or you will lose your video,
This review is from: Kingston 8 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card SD6/8GB (Personal Computers)
I bought 2 of these at different times for my new Canon T1i, tested OK. The next day I went to an event started taking video (so excited about that, video on a dslr), it shut down erratically, buffer overflows. The memory wasn't fast enough, both of them. What? Class 6 not fast enough, I thought the camera was a problem.
I lost some good video on that expensive day.
After talking to Canon I grabbed an older Kingston class 4 micro sdhc (the plain black one), it worked ok, I bought some Polaroid/PNY class 4 8GB they worked ok. Bought a Sandisk extreme III class 6 8GB and it was fantastic.
So, a Kingston class 6 is slower than everyone else class 4. I thought there were standards that must be followed for the class rating, obviously Kingston has lowered their standards
Kingston WAS the best in customer service from previous experience. We'll see about now, from other reviews, it looks like they are no longer the Kingston I knew and loved, too bad.
I returned the card to Kingston, who eventually sent me a new one. The NEW replacement is as bad as the one I sent back.
This card IS NOT a class 6 card in performance, more like a class 1 or 2 SLOWWWWW!
