Stick to Stephanie Plum,
This review is from: Troublemaker Book 1: A Barnaby and Hooker Graphic Novel (Hardcover)
Evanovich's fans clamor for new Stephanie Plum books. Why is she wasting her time on this utter crap? These aren't real books and it's very disappointing. Her "Sizzlin' Sixteen" was a real disappointment, too. Short, no plot, not nearly as funny as her other ones and then I read that her daughter's writing the new ones, which explains why the spark is gone. It's all about churning out books, books and more books for more and more money. Never mind what the loyal readers want. I love the Plum series and I loved the audiobooks, which keep getting shorter and shorter. If this keeps up, I won't be reading any more of her books. Don't waste your money.

Unfortunately sticking to the Plum novels isn't working lately for JE. #15 and #16 were awful, in my opinion. Loved the first 14 though. I hate to see something go down to the point where the author seems like she just doesn't care AND DOESN'T EDIT her work. Sometimes you need experts -- not just your family members -- polishing up the book.

Rita, I have read most of your reviews and consider you a thoughtful commenter. I do want to ask what you liked about book #14. It was my least favorite of the numbered series to date and I want to understand what about it appealed to you.

Diane, I think I was still "drinking the kool aid" at that point and letting JE off the hook because of how much I enjoyed the prior numbers. I'm going to skim through it again and figure it out. Stupidly I bought that one!
