Best mobile version for Skylander fans,
This review is from: Skylanders Battlegrounds: Mobile Starter Pack - iOS (Video Game)
There are three different mobile game for Skylanders and this one is the best IMO. The Bluetooth portal comes with a USB cable and it works with the PC and X360 versions with this cable. The exclusive Platinum Treasure Chest in the box will get you max level by the time you get to the boss of Act 2, which is fine since the game only goes to Act 2 right now. This is about 20 levels and it took me about 8 hours to complete getting all of the side treasure chests in game. It looks like 2 more acts will come later as DLC (in game purchase later). It is like a strategy lite game with in combat done with selecting a target Skylander and dragging its attack to an enemy. It sounds difficult, but my little nephew was easily able to get through a few fights, so it really is built for little people as well as those of us who are typical gamers.
Once you load the characters in the game with the portal, you don't really need it any more. I was a bit disappointed by that, but it makes the game more mobile for sure. If you don't want the portal, you can always load the Skylanders in the game with your Game Code each Skylander comes with anyway, but honestly 3 characters, a universal portal, a game, and special treasure chest item it makes the price so worth it. And remember, one of the characters it comes with, Royal Double Trouble, is exclusive to this pack. He may get released later as a single, but right now this is the only way to get it.
Hope this helps!

What happens if you use the exclusive Platinum Treasure Chest on regular Skylanders video game (Spyro's Adventures or Giants)? Does it work "exactly" like the Hidden Treasure (included in Skylanders Pirate Seas pack) and if there's any difference between these two at all? It would really be helpful if you could answer my questions. Thanks!

Pretty sure you don't get Royal Double Trouble from anywhere but gamestop. In the pic, it looks like a series 2 Double Trouble with a series 1 mold. Definitely unique, but not the purple colored "Royal" variant.

No, I could not get the bluetooth portal to work with the Xbox 360. It shut off immediately, each time I plugged the usb cable in. I've spent a few hours searching the web. Several reviews said "it has a usb plug, it will work". I have yet to find anyone who has actually done it - just a few people asking if it can be done (like me) or speculating that it likely won't work because the xbox portal has some special security.
