Tim's books have helped me start my own business (work week), lose 15 pounds (body) and I know the domestic, wild and the equipment guides will come in super handy from the 4 hour chef. Here's the thing--most chefs have only themselves to rely on in their books. Tim speaks to a ton of people here (dozens) and aggregates a lot of their knowledge into one tome. Will it replace a set of other traditional cookbooks? No. But that's not really the point. The point here is that Tim does his homework, and treats his subject matter as an obsessive. $20. Worth it.
