This work exposes yet another United Nations initiative as the boondoggle that it is. I am just aware that the elites of these countries are corrupt. This corruption leaks through to the IPCC process and results as admirably documented by this book. Note that the current membership has one member from the Sudan and 30 members: [...]
Another point made and well documented is the deep penetration of Greenpeace and WWF into the lead authorship of some sections. While I sympathize with and donate money to environmental advocacy, I agree with Donna that advocacy plays no role in a so called scientific overview.
Sadly, the IPCC, which started well in the early 90s and I hoped would lead to a rational energy policy in the United States, has followed so many other UN initiatives into corruption and irrelevance.
