Not as good as the first but still decent,

This review is from: The Twelve (Book Two of The Passage Trilogy): A Novel (Book Two of The Passage Trilogy) (Kindle Edition)
I found that it was a bit confusing as to what was going on the first half of the book. This kind of made it difficult to slug through to the end where everything is explained. I didn't get "hooked" until my kindle say "73%" through the book. It was just too much leading to the finish, to many plot lines, and little action. I did ultimately like the book when I finished it but getting there sometimes was a bit clunky and boring.
Also some of the "pre-apocalypse" story lines are unfinished and leave me wondering what is going to be in the next book.

C. Murphy says:
I absolutely LOVED the first book and at the end, I said, "What the heck!" I was really upset, not knowing there was another book to come. So I was really excited for this followup and reread the last 1/4 of "The Passage" knowing that I was about to get the new one. Then, as soon as #2 starts, I have NO idea who they're talking about, WHEN and WHERE everyone is and too many new characters! I was looking forward to finding out where Peter et al went and what happened to Sara et al on the Farmstead. It wasn't until page 206 or so that the old characters show up. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm disappointed. He keeps adding in more and more new characters and new places and now new TIMES. I started taking notes on page 50 (approximately) because I couldn't keep track of everyone. I'm really disappointed. But I will finish it. I sure hope #3 is better.
