I've always been of the mindset that you learn how to use your camera, and if you don't get the image it's because you suck at the main function, programs like photoshop were always for lazy people who didn't want to put in their time to get the best possible shot and would rather sit behind their computer listening to The Doors with a lava lamp swishing around it's goo as they fixed it in post. So, I never used the programs. Then, I took wedding photo's, at a Elk's lodge. So my first job was to make the wedding look as good as possible, but somehow a elk's head would appear in the back ground and ruin everything. With content aware patch tools, fella is gone. (the elk, not the groom) I also made huge mistakes on my part and took over exposed images that Lightroom 3, Iphoto and CS5 could not repair. With CS6 an almost blank page overexposed picture can be fixed in seconds. If you upload it to CS6 in a raw format you can click auto and it does an excellent job repairing it. It's not perfect, but it's way better than nothing and if you play with it enough you can get something usable. I'm continuing to learn the program from video's and books, but as of now I cannot be happy with the purchase. And it was an actual purchase because I know way to many people who have "acquired" Adobe products. Someone has to buy it, so I guess that was me.
