A year or so ago I ordered an 8.5B size for my size 8 foot. I had had this size before without a problem. The new 8.5B turned out to cramp my toes, one foot only, after about an hour of wear, and irritate my Morton's Neuroma. Because I had good luck in the past with this shoe, and as foot size does increase with age, I decided to order the next size up and a wider width. The 9D fits very well and gives the needed room for my toes. So my advice is order a larger size than you usually do.
