5.0 out of 5 stars Classic, wear anywhere watch!, August 29, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Seiko Women's SXGN42 Gold-Tone and Black Leather Strap Watch (Watch)
I gave up on my 30-yr. old Cartier watch when the cost of repairs became too much, but love the style and have been searching for an inexpensive replacement. Well, this watch is it, even to the fake sapphire on the winding stem - plus I don't have to wind this one!

The face of this watch is about 5/8-in. wide x 3/4" high, a nice size for anyone who is looking for a watch that fits nicely on the wrist without being overpowering. It's water resistant and the movement is Japan-made. I've had it for several months, now, and it has kept perfect time without resetting even once.

The band is labeled "Calf" and is thick enough for me to know it won't wear out quickly; it's made in China, though, for those of you for whom that matters. It has 7 holes and should fit most wrists; measured, it'll fit a 5-3/8" wrist up to a 6-3/4" one.

Very happy with this purchase! I don't need the bells and whistles of dates/alarms/etc. and this watch fits the bill perfectly.

Thanks for providing the dimensions. Websites often get it wrong, or don't make it clear what they are measuring. I assume by "face" you mean the dial as apposed to the case. Amazon lists the case diameter as 20.3mm (or 13/16"). I'm guessing they are referring to the width case here, not the diameter.

Update April 2014: Amazon now lists the case diameter as 17mm. My original comment was from 2010, so at some point they updated their description. Nice to see they still sell this watch.

I think you assume correctly.

It's amazing that sellers leave out so much pertinent information in their descriptions.

Actually, Amazon lists the case diameter as 17 millimeters--not 20.3.

Yes, they do now, but my comment was written a few years ago and Amazon has since updated this information.
