It comes with a vinyl pouch, and includes the 9volt battery. Compared to other similar products which use button type batteries, 9volt batteries are more readily available and last longer, but are also heavier.
It has magnets on both sides and the bottom (no magnets on the top)
I particularly like that it measures the absolute angle, so it can do what a regular bubble level can do (measure 0 degrees relative to the earth), and any angle relative to this level. Of course, it gives you the ability to "Zero" on any particular angle, and measure a relative angle to that zeroed angle.
The documentation also reads "U.S.A. Made Navigational Sensor", so made in the USA.
