My favorite feature for this phone is a LINE IN USE Indicator, that many phones which cost several times as much don't have (I returned a $50 2-line phone that didn't have a genuine line-in-use indicator for three of these--that returned small office phone only had an indicator telling you if that particular phone is off the hook!). This red LED indicator and its circuit requires inserting four AA batteries before it works.
Voice quality is good assuming you put the volume level in the MEDIUM setting; switch adjusts not only the speaker volume, but also the microphone setting; so, if you set it to LOW the person on the other line can barely hear you. Also has ringer volume settings off, hi, low. Has redial and stored phone nr memory, as well as caller ID. Basically it has all the important simple features that are really useful.
Some quick reading of the manual is required to set it up as a wall phone. Wall installation could have been done a little better if they had included the standard bracket mentioned in the instruction manual; my local hardware store did not have it; instead, I drilled through the plastic of the mounting piece and used some washers that I bought at the hardware store (don't forget your drywall anchor screws while there). The keys could have a little better feel and maybe be a bit larger, but they work fine. All in all, I have little to complain compared to what is satisfying; the product's strengths are where I feel it counts (good voice quality and essential features in a basic modern household phone).
