I love using this book. It is laid out very clearly with with many explanatory screenshots and tip boxes. The book follows a very logical progression from explanations of the primary photoshop tools for photographers to much more specific instructions for restoration and retouching. Mark Fitzgerald's writing style is neither too formal nor too chatty. I have adopted his suggestions for how to best organize image files so they can be found easily when needed in the future. His coverage of scanning methodology was just what I needed to complete my first major scanning project with much less difficulty than I otherwise would have. I liked having the practice files available online, but his examples in the book were usually all I needed to follow his instructions. In short, I don't think you can possibly go wrong with this book and chances are it will be a valuable addition to your bookshelf too.
