Person Of Interest: Best New Show Of 2011,
This review is from: Person of Interest: Season 1 (DVD)
Person Of Interest is the best new show of 2011. If you liked the Equalizer, Burn Notice, and shows where people with special skills help and save the threatened, the indigent, and the underdog and where the bad guys get their comeuppance, and frequently permanent comeuppance, you will thoroughly enjoy Person Of Interest. Great show, and worth your time to watch.

I don't watch many TV shows and find most sticky sweet or impossibly stupid (reality shows and sit-coms) but this is different. The "brainiac" and the hero saving the righteous and punishing the evil while taking no prisoners. They do what many of us wish we could do in real life. Excellent all around!

I loved The Equalizer. I feel the same as PiggDogg - Person Of Interest is the only thing I've seen in 20 years to compare. I am glued to my TV on Thursday nights. And I thank heaven that I have a DVR when I can't be there. I'll be very glad to see the DVD for season one come out. It will be fun to watch them in order with no commercials. Person of Interest is the only show I go out of my way to watch. I started watching it because of Jim Caviezel, but the entire cast has me hooked now. Not to mention the overall premise as well as the weekly plots. After Finch mentioned to Nathan that the machine could repair and update itself, I figured there would be some AI in there. I also must assume that it will develop an instinct for self preservation. It will be very interesting to see what they do to resolve the cliffy they left us with, and how the machine will develop as a player in season 2.

Goodness, I mention Burn Notice most every week. In fact, just watched a number of BN episodes on cable. I loved & still love Burn Notice. However, now that "Jack Is Back" (24, that is, is back), in the pantheon of all time best TV shows: 24 is #1, Burn Notice is #2, and Person Of Interest is #3. Life doesn't get much better.
