This is one of the best Grace Jones collections you can get. I didn't see it mentioned on Amazon or anywhere else but the songs are remastered, and they sound great! There's also a booklet included with several well-known and iconic pictures of Ms. Jones as well as an interesting essay by Brian Chin with background information on the Compass Point sessions. The liner notes also include extensive information on the versions of the songs as they appear here. Another Amazon reviewer wrote disappointedly that the song versions on this collection have all been previously available. The truth is that before this collection was released these versions were available only on cassette. (These are the versions that appeared -exclusively- on the cassette format of the original studio albums Warm Leatherette, Nightclubbing, and Living My Life.) In all, 14 versions on this collection were previously unavailable on CD, and 2 songs were previously unreleased on any format. And all the songs here are remastered, which is extremely important. When you compare the songs on this collection to the songs as they appear on the original CD releases of the Compass Point albums the difference is strikingly apparent. There are also a couple of rare songs included here: Grace's versions of "Ring Of Fire" and "She's Lost Control"; as well as rare dub versions of both "Private Life" and "She's Lost Control". These songs may be available elsewhere, but here they are remastered and in their proper context alongside other songs from the Compass Point sessions. When you put it all together you have a superb 2-CD collection essential to any Grace Jones fan.
