"Mr. Man" characters are the best part.
on January 8, 2011
The island itself is a bit hoaky and though it's designed with several drain holes in the bottom, like most bath toys it retains a bit of old bath water no matter how well you drain it. The little slide is a bit small and awkward for the characters, but the kid doesn't seem to mind. Also, the chair at top is made to flip backwards and catapult the characters out, but it's a bit awkward and harder for young ones to operate as the characters often topple out of the chair before you can flip them.
The characters are the coolest, Mr Rude and Mr Bump from the Mr Man kids' books. Mr. Rude is a hollow rubber toy and he can squirt water through a little hole in his frowning mouth (also retains a bit of old bathwater unless thoroughly drained. Mr. Bump is sealed hard plastic and wears a permanent panicked expression with his bandages. His little red boat is appropriately full of holes, quite literally like a seive, so it always sinks, cute.
My son's always asking, "Where's Mr Bump? Where's Mr Rude (pronounced with cute "Elmer Fudd" sounding "R")
