This device takes a little practice to get into the swing of it. It will hopefully help my father who is diabetic with circulation issues in his legs. We got this in attempt to hopefully aid him at being a little active and improve his circulation. So far, he uses if for minutes a day. As for my daughter, she loves to go to Papa's to play on his "pedals". lol
Truth be told, I've used the exercise peddler, and as a fully healthy adult, I wouldn't mind having one. It would take a little practice to get my rhythm, but I could see myself sitting and peddling away during family tv time. It's a way to bicycle in the house, excercise, and help with cardio while not cluttering up the home with a huge stationary bicycle. I think it should be noted how amazing light this peddler is. It is beyond light and easy to move! No gouging mom's wooden floor!

I purchased this exerciser to help with my physical therapy. I had a ruptured patellar tendon that was repaired in January. I use this to build strength and improve range of motion in my knee. It is very solid and relatively smooth for a friction pedal system. The only thing I could see to improve on it would be to include alternate feet with spikes or cleats for use on carpet. The rubber feet are OK but it still slides a bit on carpet. I get around this by putting it up against a bedpost or wall.

I have spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis in both knees and hips, which prevents me from being able to do most exercising. This peddler is perfect. I can sit and exercise. This peddler along with diet and medication has allowed me to get a wildy fluctuating blood pressure under control and it assists in lowering my already low cholesterol levels.

I bought it just wanting to try a peddler out and see if I could get any results. For the price I didn't expect it to last long and would not have been disappointed if it didn't. Much to my surprise it's still going strong after 8 months of 5 times a week use.

I'm not going to take away any stars because it moves around on the carpet a bit when you really turn the resistance up. What would a person expect it to do? It only weighs 5 pounds and you're pushing on it hard.

It does get hot, very hot. You can touch the main frame after use but I'd avoid touching the rod that the pedals are attached to. It will cause a burn and blister.

All in all, I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and I do recommend it to friends that also have problems doing conventional exercising.

Bought this for my mother in law who lives with us. She needs to exercise (and we hound her) everyday to keep alive. Bought it three years ago and I bet she has used it less than 20 times in three years. Product is great for seniors that are limited in their exercise needs and energy. Not surely for the young. Nothing but high compliments for the seller and their is nothing wrong with this product for the right person.

My husband has found this "ergonometer" to be very useful in his home cardiac recovery program as well as his home physical therapy program after a hip and back injury. I found it to be a great value, excellent quality product which has saved us time and expense since he was able to do more of his rehab in the comfort of our home when he was otherwise very immobile.

I just opened the box on this peddler today and already love it. It takes up less room than a stationary bike but seems to provide a similar amount of calorie burn, at least for a casual exerciser like me. I wanted something I could use inside to burn off a few extra calories while watching TV or reading and so far this seems perfect. You can place it up higher and use it for arm exercise, too. It comes all assembled except for an easy to screw on tension adjuster.

There wasn't enough resistance to my liking.

The complaints about the squeaking and heat are real. It was a bit too loud if I went fast to peddle around in the office.

You won't burn any significant calories using this, but I can see how it would be extremely useful as a rehab tool.

I sometimes peddle this in front of the TV. I suppose it's better than nothing... but I think you're better of planking and doing situps and pushups then using this junk.

I noticed that when I add the resistance the metal around the peddler gets so heated up that it can burn you. I didn't add the resistance too much but a little so that it gave me something to push against and in 10-15 min it was extremely hot. So watch out for that if you plan to use it for some rigorous peddling. It works fine for a slow movement. The rubber at the bottom keeps slipping on wooden surface. It doesn't grip that well. I put it on a yoga mat and it was fine. It should be ok on carpet floors.

This peddler is good for when you sit most part of the day. It loosens up your legs and keeps them from cramping up. It's not for work outs and such ..it's just a light exercise. The resistance knob is not worth much..when you tighten it too much the movements are very jerky..but after a minute or so it loosens up to a doable pace.

pros: It's small and lightweight. Fits under work desks and easy to transport from place to place.

cons: It's not very sturdy, and the foot holders are flimsy and fall off. Not to mention, zero resistance so you can't really get a work out.

Overall, it's an okay product if you just want to slightly increase your physical activity during the day.
