This book contains very useful info for anyone interested in adapting a minimalist running style. The problem is, most of the info here is posted online for free (by the author himself I believe).

For $2.99 though it's worth having it all in one easily accessible place. And I would say the book goes into more detail somewhat. It's not rocket science, but it is extremely good advise. I read this book before switching to a minimalist running style, and took it very seriously. The transition has been enjoyable and injury free so far!

Nothing really to learn from this book that you cannot find online so I say if you want to save, forgoe it.

This book is a short introduction with great advice regarding barefoot running and form.

Note that that Kindle edition is the 1st edition, I don't think the newer 2nd edition is available on the Kindle.

There were a couple of errors in carry over to the Kindle, just a few words combined with no space between them. Not often enough to detract from good reading. Otherwise a great read!

I've been reading a lot about barefoot running lately. This one, stripped to what is really essential in it, would become a booklet. But if you want guidelines to start barefoot running, and is looking for something not so bulky as Ken Bob's manual, go for it.

After reading Born to Run: I went out and ran for 11 minutes barefoot on grass. I came to a crashing halt at 11 minutes. The reason, I didn't know really how to start. I figured I'm fit from swimming so I should be able to do it. It was so effortless too. I was loving it.

After researching around for some videos and info I found this ebook. I downloaded the sample which was a decent chunk I liked what I read so I bought it. Using a Dell Streak 5 inch Tablet. Its great as a little ebook.

Well it seems the advice is go very, very easy in the beginning. Its muscles we don't use so be careful.

Tonight I tried the barefoot walking exercises as suggested. Well it was a lot of fun out the back and most helpful really. I understood better about this lift that's spoken about instead of pushing off the foot.

So its day one for now. I need to recover my calf muscle for the rest of the week due to the earlier run I did without reading up about it.

Seems funny to learn how to run again barefoot. But its important to take it very slow, even for seasoned runners.

The bottom line for me is a hope to return to running after a 8 year layoff due to a really bad trauma on the knee when I run more than 3 times.

I have read this book 3 times and have recommended it several times to shod runners looking for something different. Each time I read the book I am encouraged I made the choice to consider barefoot running; Though I will probably stick to minimalist running shoes for now. I am sure I will read the book again and will continue recommending it.
