I've read Mr. Morris' other books In All Probability and Jumble Tales and always enjoy his short stories. Usually this writer's stories have a bit of a dark and twisted ending, but this time all the main characters come Out On Top. Don't get me wrong, these aren't your typical "feel good" type of things, they concern things like demented balloon salesmen and two headed puppies. My favorite short story in the book is called Score To Settle and is about a soccer player who is looking to put the hurt on a player from an opposing team for cheating with his wife! That particular story was worth the price of the book itself and didn't quite end the way I thought it would. Mr. Morris has a magical touch to his writing and I feel should get much more notice than it does. If you're looking for a quick read that's well written and will entertain you right up to the very end, I highly recommend this book!
