Just another VR cash grab from people who don't have a clue and don't care. I'm a former VR developer, so I can say with confidence that this is not worth even a nickel.

I have an Oculus Rift headset with the front assembly taken off and I tied a smartphone to the front for a comparison. Just the basic plastic shell with Oculus lenses is miles ahead of this junk. The Zeiss VR ONE distorts the image very badly, to fool you into thinking you're getting more "virtual reality". In truth, it ruins the experience. Try an Oculus or Vive just once and you will immediately know the difference. That difference is not due to fancier technology but simply the lenses and the headset fit. They all use the same smartphone screens, so there's no magic sauce here.

To top it all off, this is listed as new but it was obviously used-- from the box flaps torn off to the hair found inside the headset.

Great device. People complaining about the lack of a button are misleading you. While I have not used Googled cardboard with it, I did use Jaunt VR and it was an awesome experience and did not require a button. Definitely the top VR app if you're using IOS. The goggles are high quality. Make sure that when you put your phone into the holder that you remove any case that you have on it or you will risk breaking the holder. It does take a few minutes to toy around with and get the hang of if you're not familiar with VR, but that's largely due to the complexity of some of the apps available on the App Store. If you have an IPhone, I would definitely recommend this product. If you have a Samsung I would definitely recommend the Gear headset just because of the wider range of apps available to pair with it. I'm looking forward to seeing more apps available on the App Store such as Netflix and Watch ESPN. Overall, beautifully designed product, but if you have an IPhone I would wait on investing in VR until a wider range of apps are released.

I tried to like it, but the images are fuzzy, not HD, and you cannot control the phone while inside the unit. Carl Zeiss should not have put his name on this. Do not waste your money. Nice build quality for crap optics, what a waste.

Amazing lenses. But the experience, without adjustable interocular distance, is far inferior to much cheaper goggles. If this were more ajustable it would be perfect. The lenses are far superior than those of all the goggles I've tried. But great lenses only get you so far in the complicated world of 3D image legibility.

Great VR Headset! Future-Proof because they will always make new phone trays for it! You can mod it for Google Cardboard apps by using magnets from your local hardware store. Also, please keep in mind that the quality of your view is solely dependent on what kind of phone you have! The better PPI your phones screen is, the better your view will be!

The Zeiss Vr One VR unit is excellently made and offers some unusual services. At the same time, however, it lacks adequate control switches. Strangely, given the Zeiss reputation for truly excellent lenses, I experienced considerable grain effect -- specifically in the Visual Walking Tour of Frankfurt am Main which I also ordered. At some point, I'm hoping to check-in with tech support to see if the grain-effect can be reduced or eliminated.
