I attended a seminar about covered calls and though I have no experience in stock options I was curious as to whether this was a good way for easy income. Though I am unlikely to bet a hundred grand I am interested in stocks as a potential for growth in the future. I lost money on a previous investment by listening to someone I thought was an expert, so this book is a way of making sure I have a better understanding going forward. It is very detailed and seems to cover everything you would want to know before making an investment. If you are new to the subject this will likely save you a ton of time on research and hopefully help you make better choices.
I must say, another brilliantly structured read from the author Ged Cusak. I read his previous book on Building an FBA Business which has helped me become quite profitable using that business model, and also the excercises involved in that book had me yearning for another stream of income using a different business model. I had always wanted to try stock trading but never really knew where to start or who to trust. With this book the author opens up to the lessons he learned loosing a fortune, lessons that could have cost me a fortune if I had not read this book. Most trading books glitz up the winning side of things to drill into the gullible part of your brain, when in actual fact, trading is not like this at all. Other books will have you believe you can become profitable almost overnight, with catchy headlines like "earn $100,000 in your first year trading", and part of you actually believes this, while they give you generic information of "winning" whilst the usual discaliamer of "don't blame me if it doesn't work for you" floats about, "maybe it's just not for you". Anything to make a quick buck, This author nails this book by taking the other approach, being completely honest of how he had lost $100,000 over the years he traded stock options, ironing out invaluable information to people who are thinking of starting this business model (not hobby!!!), to help stop them from loosing money. There is a lot to learn for people and their get rich quick mentalities, igonore all these poorly structured cheap, full of fluff, "get rich quick" books available on Amazon (which usually consist of an upsell) that ony have one purpose, make the author rich quick!! There are few authors on here that are actually honest and out to help others. If you want to loose a $100,000 go read a book that fills your head full of nonsense, you will have already lost at trading if you do...hearing what you want to hear is a major flaw in trading & life psychology. Reading how not to loose $100,000 and what to do to avoid this will better your trading psychology and major decision making in life, This book is what you need.
Got this for my hubby who wants to get started with options trading. He loves the book from how the information is well structured to how pitfalls are explained. I ended up joining him on reading the book. For a newbie with not too much mula to begin with, this is a great book. It definitely gives you the confidence to get started. The author sure gives you the feeling that he's not hiding any information and simply wanting to help you succeed.
I received this book for free. My opinion is my own. I have often thought about trading. I have even read a few books on the matter. Very technical and always get a bit turned off. This book was written in a very personal tone. It educates as well as tells a personal story. It's still technical, but it also is very educational and I picked up a lot I had not in other books. Would recommend
I also received a review copy of this book for free and I found pretty good advice for someone just starting; a personal story as well as advice and lessons. A good mix of "how to", and personal experience of what NOT to do. When it comes to playing with large sums of money its good to learn from others mistakes before you jump in :) The author clearly knows their stuff. Thanks for sharing!
This is the 2nd book I’ve read from this author and he has delivered yet again! I’ve always wondered how the stock market worked, and was under the impression I needed to be of a certain profession, and have large amounts of disposable cash to get started, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. This book has given me the confidents to get started on the right foot without making some of the mistakes most beginners get caught out with. Another great feature about this book is that it’s suitable for any level of trader. Whether you’re an experienced trader or a beginner, this book makes a nice and refreshing read which will definitely teach you a thing or two regardless of what level you’re at. I highly recommend you give this book a read!
I received this book for free. These are strong lessons that every trader must learn. Why not spend a little money to learn from costlier mistakes. Great advice and strong writing. I also appreciate the appendix! Recommended.
