This was an extremely intriguing and fascinating story that had lots of twists and turns that made it an exciting read. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Princess Eve has delivered to the world a child destined to become the Dark Prince; a saviour as foretold in the prophesy. Born of a vampire mother with a King for a father, he will unite all species in the realm and bring harmony to chaos. Jamie needs to fulfil the prophecy; he is someone really important and some have waited for his arrival for many lifetimes. Abandoned as a child, Jamie had a mother who never wanted to know him and a father whom he never knew and joined the King’s Guard when he was 10. His mother had kept his birth so secret, no one knew who he was. It was all for his protection; he didn’t realise how big a threat he was to some very evil beings. Now he is Sir Jamie Lawrence, a warrior and one of the truest Knights of Five who ever fought in any army; his bravery and courage stood him higher than any challenger. His true calling was the battlefield and, trained by a mysterious Japanese master, was the most skilled swordsman in all of King Henry’s armies and a symbol of inspiration; he was always one step ahead of any opponent. The Harkers were an ancient royal lineage represented by the image of a lion. Their life was perfect until 15-years ago, when the normal became abnormal, leaving Sofia’s life in peril. Sofia is everything Jamie desires in his idealistic perfect woman and there seems to be an incredible magnetic force drawing the two together; Jamie can and will protect her, not caring that she is a vampire. Everything about Sofia captivated Jamie, but this was not a familiar position for him to be in; never has he known such strong desire before. Princess Eve wanted Sofia to be guided towards Jamie because she knew they would understand each other; if they met by chance she knew they would fall in love. When Jamie learns more about his mother and his legacy, he realises that he is not the worthless boy he always thought he was. His mother had seen a vision of him through the flames. A brave Knight with a life fulfilled in every way by someone she has chosen for him. Jamie has an important decision to make whether to become an immortal or remain human. Sophia and Jamie have an unbreakable bond and a love that consumes them both, so Jamie only has one choice. The Valkrays will never rest until they destroy all of Sophia’s family, but Jamie can and will protect her; his power and strength is like nothing seen before. Sent by Lord of Dark as his thrall to vent his wrath there is no escape for Valkray or the vengeance that Valour seeks. They stand together as one against a tyranny that has oppressed their species, murdered their royals and ruled selfishly against the principles of their forefathers and it ends now. The image Sophia sees is exactly the one she had pictured as a little girl dreaming of her Prince. Sophia had seen him like this completely turned and exactly like her, but it is what she had wanted from the moment she discovered who he really was. Now he was exactly that and he belongs to her; her Prince has finally arrived. But Sophia knew she had to wait while he faced a ruthless and formidable adversary. ***I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

This first book of Mr. Ali's shows himself to be an interesting storyteller. The world he has created is filled with both light and the dark, detailed, and colorful and invites the reader to enter. Within this wonderful world lurk forces of good and evil, human, vampire, and priests. I enjoyed this book and will be watching and waiting for more from this author.

The Knights of the Five Badge are strong, brave, and relentless warriors fighting a war on two fronts. This is the 15th century and King Henry has sent out his best fighters to fight rebellious subjects by day and vampires by night. Within these knights is a hero named Sir Jamie Lawrence. He's never been defeated in battle, his past is mysterious, and he's stunningly handsome . A damsel in distress calls to Sir Jamie's sense of duty but more than that his feelings are deeply affected as well. His princess has a dangerous secret which somehow pertains to Sir Jamie. The war with the vampires is a dangerous and deadly game. As with human's there are the good and the bad working to balance and protect their own.

This story is detailed and complex which will engage and entertain readers. There are a lot of things going on in this book. There are many trails to be faced by Sir Jamie, his princess, and Sir Jamie's brothers in arms. I think readers will appreciate the attention to detail that this author has use in weaving his tale. I invite you to read and enjoy this tale of good and evil, humans, and the paranormal world.

I will occasionally come across something, whether it’s food or music or a book where I’m not entirely sure how I felt about it, whether I liked it or not, even after I’ve consumed it all. And that is sort of the case with this book. I think that, after I sit with it a while, I will decide that I liked it, after all. But upon finishing it, my brain just doesn’t know what to think about it. There is just so much going on this book! And I think that is where it started to lose me. However, the author managed to keep all the threads together through the end of the novel, so kudos for that! What earned the book as high a rating as I gave it (and I only rarely give a rating above a 4) is that the story intrigued me enough that I *want* to sit with it and decide if I like it, I even want to try re-reading it to see if the plot threads still confuse me or if they fall neatly into place.

What I found particularly refreshing was that this was a book about vampires that didn’t have the main characters falling into bed together at every available opportunity. The main characters, Sofia and Jamie, truly love one another and there is some serious cuddling going on, but that’s the extent of it. It has been a LONG time since I was able to recommend a piece of vampire romance to anyone under the age of 18, and I feel very comfortable in doing so in this case.

The Knights of the Five Badge of Nottinghamshire fight a bloody war against a clan of vampires that have become entrenched in their society for hundreds of years. The hero, Sir Jamie Lawrence, is a strong and courageous knight. He faithfully serves his king. His soul mate, Sofia, is a strong female who has endured great tragedy in her life. The vampire characters range from cruel, demonic creatures of the night to more "humanized" ones that want to blend into society.

This is one of the most captivating fantasy adventures I have read in a while. The story is set during the time of kings and knights. The author is creative and emotional. He depicts an exciting world that fits right in with that period of history. I felt drawn into the world of the knights by the vivid pictures the author creates through his writing style. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history, romance, adventure and vampires. I hope there is a sequel to read soon.

This book was interesting. I loved the descriptive words used and the storyline in all. The only thing I disliked about this was the spelling errors, and how fast moving this book was. Don't get me wrong I love action but I wish there was more of a vampire element. They are a main part in the book and they are described well but when it came to feeding or sometimes killing, it wasn't described as well as I wanted it to be. Otherwise, I loved it. Near the end I was attached to Lady Sofia and Sir Jamie Lawrence and hoped they'd have a happy ending. I'd rate this book a 4 out of 5 and I recommend It to anyone who wants to read a beautiful story.

The back cover of this book vows to captivate, mesmerize and enchant you. It keeps this promise. It arrived early one morning and I hardly set it down until I reached the end. There are basically about eight principle characters which gives the reader a chance to really know and care about them. They are people with basic needs, fears and passions elevated to positions sometimes almost too much for them to bear. But they are far from ordinary people. They hold dark secrets and take you into a world unlike any you have ever known. It's an adventure and a love story that moves along at a pace that never stalls and never ever lets you lose interest. It's an extraordinary read that you must add to your reading list.

The story is ingeniously crafted about love, power and deception between humans and vampires. The story-telling is brilliant. This well-layered plot brought my imagination to life. The literature itself is unpretentious and easy to follow throughout. It was most enjoyable fantasy tale I have read in a while.
The creations of characters are intriguing and haunting. The hero, Sir Jamie Lawrence, is not only the bravest Knight but the most courageous, who leads the group of Knights of the Five Badge of Nottinghamshire into combating the barbaric savage vampires, the evil creatures of the night.

Iloved this book. It kept me captivated right through the end. I am looking forward to the sequel

Far too often I start reading a Vampire novel and get to the point where I feel I have read something very similar from another author. This wasn't the case with Blood Of Your Blood. This was down to the plot which I thought was very original and its historical setting which I thought add a nice twist and edge. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this novel.
