Have you ever been transferred to the Blue Ridge mountains while lying in bed? That's exactly what happens when you read 'A Place Called Hart's Desire', written by Ruth Kyser. You'll see the colors of the sun coming up over the valley. Besides that, you'll ache with Ellie when she sees Luke turn his back on the Lord because of his suffering over the death of his wife. It put me to shame when I see the ease she quotes from the Bible. It made me make a new resolution to memorize more. A book you will enjoy if you like clean, cozy, Christian novels. Five stars earned for sure, Ruth Kyser.
What a wonderful story . I could picture the scenery that was so beautifully written .....feel the cool crisp air, hear the sounds of the waterfall. Makes me want to visit the mountains now. I enjoyed following the characters as they struggle with hardship and loss and their realization of God's unwavering love for them. If you are looking for a great clean read......well look no further. This is it!
I enjoy so much reading Ruth Kyser's books. The stories often take us through the trials, disappointments, tragedy and sometimes mistakes made where the only hope left is surrending our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ!
