Updated Oct 2019: double click issue may have been my fault; color setting has still never worked.

Update: I originally gave this mouse a low review because it quickly developed a problem where, for a single click, the mouse would often register a double-click. You can imagine how this messes up work and gaming.
I improved this review from 2 stars to 4 stars, because by now (10/2/19), the problem has pretty much gone away. I used to mistreat my mouse when it did something I didn't tell it to (immature behavior that I've been correcting), and I'm wondering if that exacerbated a smaller problem, or if I was wholly responsible for it. I moved to gamepads for long-term ease on my wrists, and the double-click on single-click hasn't happened for a good long while, though the habits to compensate for that problem persist (very quick clicks on payment/confirmation pages). If it's still an issue, it's slight enough that my quick-click habits negate it. Or it's not an issue anymore at all. Not sure which.
I'd like to expand on the comfort of the mouse. You see that weird third click paddle? That support for the ring finger easily makes this one of the most comfortable mice I've ever used. I haven't even sat down to learn how to use it for its intended function yet. Perhaps my desk setup or seat height is unusual, but I like this mouse for that support alone.
I left this review at four stars because the color settings still never saves. You're supposed to be able to assign a color to the side buttons. Whenever I do, the color stays until I put the computer in sleep mode or restart it. Once the computer wakes up, the side buttons are back to the default rotating-rainbow setting until I go back into the Logitech device color settings, when it'll suddenly remember, "oh yeah, I'm supposed to be this color." My other Logitech device, a gaming keypad, always correctly updates to its assigned color setting whenever I sign in. I've just given up on the mouse color at this point.
(For context, the previous review is below)
While this mouse is one of the most comfortable ones I've used, a problem developed pretty quickly:
The mouse began double-clicking on single clicks within a year. I've turned down the double-click speed in control panel to the absolute slowest double-click register speed, yet the mouse still frequently double-clicks even when I try a quick single-click. This results in a lot of annoyance as I unintentionally click on links, change window size, highlight text, use more than one item in a game, etc.
There's another, much smaller problem: the color settings for the button lights will reset to default after putting the computer to sleep, restarting or shutting down. It always defaults to the rainbow color shift. The mouse has always done this, since I first unpackaged it. I can totally deal with this, though; it's the double-clicks that make this mouse almost unusable for me.
