Top critical review
Undependable and beware if you don't live in England

I bought the Revo SuperConnect in 2017 as my wife is from the UK and has BBC Radio 2 or 4 on most of the day when she's home. It had good reviews and lots of features. My experience has been less than good. The unit does not have an Ethernet port. The only way to connect it to the network is via Wi-Fi. For reference we only use the unit as an Internet radio, therefore all media is via the network. From the start the audio paused because the buffer would empty. These pauses last between 2-5 seconds. At other times the audio would repeat the last 2-5 seconds. For the past year the network connection times out and the unit is not capable of reconnecting without a reboot. As a note the wireless router is in the same room and none of the other devices in our home have any wireless networking issues. I must accept that it is my fault that I did not return the unit during the 30 day return period. While I have had communication with Revo in Scotland about the issues, I also never sent it in for warranty repair. I don't know how shipping would work if I had sent it in for repair as you must ship the unit to Scotland. Recently I contacted Revo about sending the unit in for out of warranty repair and they provided a RMA and an address in Scotland. We took the unit it to the USPS to ship it and the cost was $124 without any insurance or tracking. I contacted Revo and said the cost to ship was prohibitive, not to mention the cost of the repair and return shipping. They responded by saying they are a small company and therefore do not have any facilities in the US. I just want to warm people of this situation before they buy anything from Revo if they do not live in the UK. If you have a problem and need a repair, prepare to be out of pocket quite a large sum of money if you live outside the UK.
