This is my second Nokia Lumia 1520. The first was purchased through Amazon with an AT&T contract and worked well for the two years that I had it. The screen got cracked and the cost to replace was $129.99, so I decided to just buy a new phone rather than replace the screen considering the phone was already 2 years old so I assumed the battery life would start to diminish and considering that I only paid $99 with contract for the phone. I was reluctant to purchase an unlocked phone as I had never purchased an unlocked phone before and worried that it would not be the same quality as my prior phone. My concern was well-founded as this phone has been a complete piece of garbage from day 1. Everyone complains that they cannot hear me on this phone. Odd as I bought the exact same phone as my prior and had no prior complaints. Even tried using it without my shock guard, but same complaints from every single caller. Thus, I could only use the phone with Bluetooth or on speaker phone. As I loved my prior phone so much, I dealt with it, until this morning. My husband came to wake me up asking whether I had intended to oversleep. I shot out of bed and checked my phone only to discover that it died over night 60 days after I purchased it. Last night before bed, I set my alarm as I always do, plugged in my phone and went to sleep. This morning, nada. The screen is on, but the unlock button will not unlock the phone. I tried to reboot, but I cannot. I plugged the phone into my computer with the hope that I would be able to do a restore, but my computer does not acknowledge that it is there even though the phone lights up when I plug it in. My Bluetooth will not connect even though it worked yesterday. Thus, rendering my phone useless. I have contacted the seller in the hopes that, perhaps, I just received a bum phone and am hopeful they will respond appropriately.
