After Two years, still going Strong!
Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2016
I absolutely love my Surface Pro 3. I bought mine off Amazon two years ago for $999, but now they're $675. I haven't had any issues with this tablet or the keyboard that you can buy separately. I plan to continue to use this until it dies, but it's been holding up well. I did buy a Terabyte drive that was on sale for movies and such. I originally purchase the Samsung Tablet, but I couldn't play Amazon videos, couldn't do online class work, and the microsoftish word, excel and powerpoint barely worked, but all these things worked well on the Surface Pro.
Update 19 Jan 2017: Now, Going into the 3rd year of use; overall, the tablet works great. Do note that the adapter wireless adapter Microsoft sells to wirelessly project to a TV or through a projector have lots of issues. I've bought two - one from Amazon and one from Best Buy, have done all sorts of troubleshooting including support from Best Buy Geek squad but couldn't get it to work. I bought a second adapter and still no connection although it does recognize my computer and tries to connect. A lot of folks have complained about this issue, some with the adapters running hot and some with glitchy images. If Microsoft can't fix this, I'm not likely to invest in a Surface Pro 4. Also, the batteries are intended to live up to 10 years. Due to some strange update, my battery stopped charging/wouldn't hold a charge, but I was able to Google a fix and easily fix the issue via another update. In the rare chance you need to replace your battery after your warranty, expect to dish out over $400 based on what I've read. Overall, still a really good computer, but one of the things Microsoft promotes is the ability to project and if you check any review sites for their wireless display adapter, your confidence in their ability to actually do this will probably be low. I'm hoping they will fix it because overall, it's a great computer.
Update: 24 Dec 2019
I just donated this Surface Pro due to the upgraded one I got a few years ago. It's still going strong and looks brand new still as I kept it in its case and always buy the stronger screen protectors for my stuff. Hope Surface continues to make quality products that last.
