Cant wait to use this ball once they open gyms up again. Material feels great. Seems overpriced but I’ve seen more expensive balls out there. Saw this ball priced cheaper from other sellers, but I’ll keep the ball though cos I know it’s helping someones business!
If your here and reading this review then you're probably considering purchasing this basketball, and you should. I highly recommend this ball, it has a great grip as well as having such a great feeling to it, when I'm holding this ball it just makes me not want to put it down, because I love the texture of it so much, even better the premium composite leather is quite durable. The leather in the ball has great moisture management and it absorbs any moisture that may get on the ball, and it uses it to its benefit and it makes the ball grippier, similar to NBA Official Game Balls, after all, it is used in the BBL and overseas Professional teams. The ball also has great consistent rebounding to it, which also means that the air in the ball does not leak, which also brings me on to say that the ball does not come inflated, you must have a pump and ball needle to inflate it, presumably for packaging benefits as well as giving you an option on how much you should inflate the ball, I recommend 7.5 PSI. Although being quite thin the ball has a fantastic cushioning to it, having the amount cushion to it just right, benefiting your experience with this ball. Although this ball has so many fantastic features it also has con's like almost everything else. The ball comes with a few creases in it for unknown reasons, which slightly decreases the athletic looks of this ball, but thankfully they usually come out as you break the ball in, and mine currently has none after using it for 2 months or so. The ball also came with a few marks, as you can see in the photos I have attached, next to the "F" in the "FIBA" logo and two vertical lines below the "n" of the "molten" logo. However, despising these issues, I still certainly recommend this ball.
This ball feels very nice when playing, it broke in after about two months or so of around 7-8 hours of use a week. The ball also doesn't seem to be very slippery when hands are sweaty, but I do have a habit of wiping my hands constantly so there's never really a problem for me with a slippery ball due to sweaty hands. My only complain is that even after extended use the creases due to being folded up when shipped remained, but that's not something that affects performance so it doesn't affect my rating. Overall I'd say this ball is very good and will last you at least a year in good-decent co condition depending on how much you'll use it. I wouldn't recommend using it for outdoors for extensive periods of time, especially on a ground with sharp stones.
Spent ages trying to find the gg7 since it has been my favourite ball since 7th grade, i was apprehensive about getting this one but so far i love it. Right now its not bouncing as high as it should but i suspect i have not pressurized it peopperly. I will update my review when i get a chance to restest
I bought this ball a few months ago and hardly played it (as lacked time). My friend also bought the same type of ball from another supplier and when I compared it, the colour, feel and weight of the ball is different. I recieved a ball that is lighter and has more of a synthetic feel of leather. Compared this to 3 other balls of the same type (BGGX7 / GGX7), and mine is the outlier?
