Maybe I got a lemon. Or maybe there are still some glitches in the software for this new model.

I really wanted to like this watch. And when it worked, it was great. After two weeks though I returned it due to repeated malfunctions. After a week of working fine I woke up one morning to find that the battery level was at 77%, even though I had charged it before going to bed, and no functions were running overnight. I went for a walk with my dogs and tried to track the event, but the GPS would not synch. I called Suunto and they were very friendly and helpful, instructing me to force a firmware reload. That solved the immediate problem but it did not seem like I should have to force a firmware reload after only a week of use. A week later, I woke up one morning and again the battery level had dropped, this time to less than 50%. After a short walk with my dogs the battery was dead, and it was not tracking anything. At that point I returned the watch. In the end, maybe I got a lemon. Or maybe, they do not have all of the kinks worked out of the software yet for this new model. I liked it enough that I will probably order another one, but I will probably buy the Traverse, hoping that the older model does not have any software/firmware issues.
